Photos: Man kill pregnant girlfriend in Rivers State, buries her body inside his apartment

The Rivers State Police Command has arrested one Prince Owabie from Rumueperikom community in Obio/Akpor Local Government Area of the State for allegedly killing and burying his pregnant girlfriend inside his apartment.

Owabie is alleged to have killed Better Ozige Nwabueze and buried her inside his one-room apartment around Wimpy Junction, by Ikwerre Road in Port Harcourt.

The incident occurred on Sunday, but the suspect was arrested on Tuesday, by policemen following a tip-off.

It was gathered that the suspect popularly called J-Boy, had confessed to some of his friends about his deed and they alerted the police who moved in and arrested the suspect.

A at the time of the report, the body of the slain pregnant lady has not been exhumed from the suspect’s apartment.

Meanwhile, J-Boy has been moved to the State Criminal Investigative and Intelligence Department (SCIID).

JAMB Official Announced the Registration Date For 2019 UTME Form.

The Joint Admissions and Matriculation Board (JAMB) has officially announced that the sales of JAMB registration form for 2019 UTME will commence on January 10th, 2019. The announcement was made by JAMB's Registrar Professor Oloyede during a meeting with owners of JAMB Computer Based Test Centres at the University of Lagos. According to professor Oloyede, the sales of form will start January 10th and last for 6 weeks. Followed by the examination in March. He further disclosed that the board will not allow Cyber Cafe operators to register candidates because they are extorting candidates and overcharging them and also engaging in services that they do not have the capacity to do. Buhari signs N9. 12 trillion Budget, Accuses national assembly of inserting N578bn projects

President Muhammadu Buhari yesterday signed the N9.12 trillion 2018 Appropriation Bill into law, and lamented that it would be difficult to implement because the budget figures have been tampered with by the National Assembly. The President accused the National Assembly of cutting N347 billion from 4,700 critical projects and injecting 403 unnecessary projects at the cost of N578 billion, stressing that the proposals introduced by the lawmakers were neither properly conceptualized, designed nor costed. President Buhari noted that the projects were supposed to be carried out by states and local government areas.
