The leader of the proscribed Indigenous People of Biafra, Nnamdi Kanu, has vowed never to return to the Federal High Court in Abuja where he was standing trial before he left the country. According to him, there is something fundamentally wrong with those that rule Nigeria. Kanu who resurfaced in Jerusalem last Friday after he went missing for over a year, made the vow during a live broadcast on Radio Biafra yesterday October 21st.  Recall that the Federal Government charged him with treason but Justice Binta Nyako granted him bail after 18 months in detention. Kanu flouted all the terms of the bail before the military invaded his Abia residence on September 14, 2017 after which he fled the country and resurfaced last Friday in Jerusalem.  In his live broadcast, Kanu said the Nigerian courts do not have the capacity to try him. According to him, there is something fundamentally wrong with the brains of those that rule Nigeria.

Nigeria Labour Congress threatens to embark on fresh Industrial action on November 6th over minimum wage

The organized labour comprising of the Nigeria Labour Congress (NLC), and the Trade Union Congress (TUC), has threatened to embark on a fresh nationwide industrial action on November 6th 2018.   According to the groups they will be protesting over what they describe as the government’s unwillingness to implement a new minimum wage for workers. In the statement jointly signed by the leaders of the two labour centers, they accused the Federal Government of deliberately refusing to forward the resolutions of the tripartite committee.   They claimed that after series of negotiations, the committee had reached a consensus for a minimum wage of N30,000 but the Federal Government has failed to take further necessary actions.   According to the statement, the organized labour will proceed on the nationwide strike action, if the Federal Government refuses to take the necessary actions on the resolutions which they describe as a done deal.

Kanu has not been seen since soldiers invaded his country home in March this year.However, this week, photos and videos of the IPOB leader who is apparently in Jerusalem, went viral on the Internet. Kanu will address Biafrans by 6pm and a statement signed by the group’s Media and Publicity Secretary, Emma Powerful, has given more details.

The leader of the Indigenous Peoples of Biafra, IPOB, Nnamdi Kanu has been spotted in Jerusalem.Kanu was spotted in Jerusalem on Friday praying. In a video which surfaced online, the IPOB leader could be seen donning an Israeli outfit used for prayers while holding a book.Kanu was last seen in Nigeria on September 10, 2017 after some military men invaded his residence in Afaraukwu community in Abia State.
